[SEPTEMBER 2026] Key Cannabis, the retail arm of Elevate Cannabis, is excited to announce the opening of it’s newest dispensary, Key Cannabis Mt. Zion – the company’s second location in Illinois, and first Key dispensary built from the ground up in the state. Located at 1225 N. State Route 121, this new location marks a significant milestone in Key’s Illinois expansion.

Key Mt. Zion offers a spacious, state-of-the-art lobby and sales floor for guided in-store shopping experiences, as well as a drive-through for customer convenience.

“We’re excited to open our doors in Mt. Zion,” said Deanna DiSalvo, Chief Marketing Officer at Elevate Cannabis. “We built this location to fit the community – not just drop a store into it. We’re excited to get involved with the community, and even more excited to get to know the people who’ll be walking through our doors.”

To celebrate the opening, Key will have a Grand Opening on Friday, October 9th with a Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting from 11:30-1:00.  During this time we will be offering free lunch to anyone who presents a receipt from Key and will be running special deals all weekend to celebrate being new to the neighborhood!

The Mt. Zion opening is part of Elevate’s continued growth in the Midwest, including Illinois and Missouri, and ongoing commitment to serving communities with premium cannabis products and an elevated retail experience. Customers can stay updated on grand opening details and special offers by following @KeyIllinois on Instagram or visiting keycannabis.com.
